I just bought a 96 Corvette as my first project car. Since everything mechanically except for some emissions equipment works perfectly, I wanted to start by fixing the A/C. 95% of the time it does not blow anything, and 5% it works decently. I do not have the optional climate control system. The only time anything blows through the vents if if I have it set to vent. Any ideas what would be causing this?
Get a FSM and use the trouble shooting tables to track it down. I have a C68 option and it helps to use the testing flow charts to narrow down the issues.
Is your problem blower has no speeds or only operates when vent button is pressed.
Vent always works. But if I have it on a different setting, most of the time, nothing blows out the vents. Very rarely does it actually run on other settings. I think it might be a bad connector

So are you saying that you hear the fan blowing but nothing comes out of the vents. If so it may be coming out of the defrost.
