1988 - What does the switch beside the headlight **** do? Mine doesn't seem to do anything.

Yep, thats what it does on my 88! Switch it on and pull the headlamp switch out 1 notch. Look at the front of your car and see if you see the parking lights (amber) and the foglamps (white). If you don't see the fog lights hit the switch and they should come on. Search the tech tips on how to upgrade to a brighter bulb. I use mine around twi-light and early morning.
