Default Sill protectors question?

Hello just purchased my 89 vette. I ordered some sill door jams. My question is can I put them over my carpet? Also what kind size torx do u need for them if they can be installed?

I would expect that the product would have instructions for installation with them.

Same here initially they were a PITA they would get kicked & not stay in place when exiting the vehicle.
Velcro was my fix.

My "new" '89 came with the clear version.

No issues with them save for holding water that runs down the front pillar.

I bought black covers with "Corvette" in white letters on top. After initial installation (slip on) I did have it pop off a couple of times. I did add Velcro, but over the course of a few months they actually now stay on very good and the Velcro is not needed.
