what is this noise
last couple of days it has been cool here in SW florida ( 'bout 50*), so i have been driving with the windows rolled up.
I can now hear an odd noise, when brakes are applied, then released i hear what sounds like a vacuum release ( imagine the sound air brakes make when released ) Just not as loud. Now in addition to that i can also hear what sounds like a valve or relay cycleing occasionally followed by the same vacuum release sound. these sounds seem to originate from the left side Dash area.
The sounds seem to stop when either 1.) car warms up, and/or 2.) Trans. is in park.
BTW this is on an 87 coupe w/auto
anyone, any ideas?

could be a vacuum leak in the climate controls.
you hit the brakes, which creates a pressure change in the vacuum systems, the result is a venting sound as the pressures equalize.
