Unless you're using Ford injectors, should really shouldn't need them it they're seated properly.
(I've got a Superramed motor with two missing clips. It's been fine for a year.)

When experimenting with an injector swap, I broke (4) clips. :sad: The side that has the clips do not leak. The other side wo/ clips leak. They are not the SVO type. They are LT1.
