Default c4 rebuild

hello once again. found out I was 1 cog off on the distributer and now the car fires but over revs. can someone advise me on proper starting . the injectors butterflies are closed so I put foot on gas peddle and start. engine fires and keeps reving until I shut it off . should I kick peddle again to maybe set injectors. help would be appreciated.

Since it will start distributor should be close. Roll balancer until timing mark is aligned with 0.on timing tab. Rotor will point close to #1 or #6. If distributor isn't bound when distributor cap is rotated to align rotor with distributor cap terminal. Reset timing. If not, pull distributor and reinstall with rotor aligned with correct cylinder. Timing light is required.

You hold the accelerator down while starting? And do you let up on it when it starts? Are all the vacuum hoses on, and vacuum ports plugged? What do you mean by "set the injectors"?
