B pillar cargo lights
I noticed my B pillar lights come on and off sometimes randomly when the car is parked.
They do Not turn on when the doors open (but the security light flashes, so I know the door switches work).
I can't seem to find a way to turn them on with any of the controls on the dash either.
But when the car is sitting, unoccupied, they will randomly turn on.
Any ideas ?

A: the cargo lights are controlled directly by the plunger switch adjacent to the rear hatch latch. This switch, its adjustment, or wiring associated with this switch is causing the cargo lights to come on randomly.
B: There is a diode module that allows the forward dome light circuit to turn on the cargo lights by grounding them. (But opening the hatch can't ground the forward lights). If the forward lights come on, but the cargo lights do not, the diode module is faulty. I believe it is located under the trim piece around the rear of the cargo area that the latch is centered in. It's a simple board with 2 or 3 diodes on it. Easy to replace the components on it, even for a DIY'r.
Being a 94, the CCM diagnostics can be used to test the hatch switch input.
There's some ideas.
Could you remind me where the "front" lights are ?
When I open the door at night, nothing happens except for the "security" light flashing as usual. This thing is dark. I'm not even sure the foot well light illuminates.
