They will rebuild them... it's just buying them new ends up being about the same. However I believe if you do send it to them, they can make some tuning adjustments while they're in there. This may only be for the higher end shocks though.
Just checking before I throw them in the garbage....is there a core value to Bilstein shocks? Will anyone (Bilstein?) rebuild them?
I just called Bilstein a couple days ago to see what it would cost to rebuild my FX3 shocks. The guy I talked to said they do not do that any more. Gave me a reference to another company (don't remember the name), called them, and they won't rebuild them either. Ordered two KYBs for the front. If they fix my steering wheel vibration, I may pop for new Bilsteins.

Damn shame. I thought they did rebuild regular Bilsteins though?
If you find someone that will rebuild the adjustable FX3's, please let us know.
Thanks,
Nick
FIrst place I would call, would be Doug Rippie Motorsports. They would know..
But, their FX3 shocks are 450 plus shipping. http://dougrippie.com/products/911/
I purchased a new set in August 2017 from Wild Vettes. At the time, they appeared to have the best bundled price on new units. I must have gotten the last bit of stock, since they have been showing these as back-ordered for quite some time. They may know more. I was pleased with their service.

A year or so ago I also called Bilstein to see if they would rebuild the regular (in my case Z51) shocks. They also said no. I was speaking to one of their engineers at the time.
