85 ESC problems
I'm having problems with my 85 and don't know how to resolve them! I've been having problems when I get into it hard and the engine begins to knock. I don't show any knocks on the scanner though. The garage changed the knock sensor last year. I don't get any O2 crosscounts and the garage said it doesn't appear that the ESC is putting out any signal. He also said that they rarely go. He thinks there might be some problems with the wiring. The car has 53k of which have been put on in the last 2 years since I've owned it. The car has not seen any bad weather so I can't imagine it's from corrosion. Any ideas????

It sounds like your ECM isn't going closed loop which could account for the knocking.
Check for closed loop per the data on my site. If it fails, service the coolant temp sensor and/or the O2 sensor.
If knocking/pinging persists, address the knock sensor/ESC module (upgrade on my site).

That was the other piece I left out of my original post!!! It doesn't always go into Closed Loop and if it does it doesn't stay there. You mentioned Coolant Temp sensor? My gauge shows coolant temp so I assume it works and when I use the Auto X-ray, I get a manifold temp as well. What should I be looking at?? I also replace the O2 sensor last summer. I also show readings on the scan of the 02 it's just the cross counts I don't see.:confused: I should also add that I always see the same knock count like 128 or there abouts whether it's idling and I hear any or not, this does not change when I hear them.
