I have a similar set of ebay heads but mine were complete. Decks are very thick. Same issues with the intake ports. They were for my street S10 that does not have to be max power so I just bolted them on with the 1205 gaskets. About 8000 miles and no problems and it has run mi 13s in the 1/4 mile so I cant complain. I would buy again and do some work for a motor that I cared about.

Cool good tah know! Yah I like em for what they are, deff can't just slap em on tho! I'm gonna try to make that vortec intake work with them but we'll see I got another Dart SHP dual plane air gap that has smaller ports I could prob use as well.

If you match up theports and gaskets they should make good power. My S10 does good as is. The lack of traction is the only thing that keeps it from high 12s, not the lack of power. Said truck.

Looks good to me. A little RTV on your bolt threads and those holes will not be a problem.

Bought an indigo blue 00 brand new. Would love to have a mild sbc of any type with AC in it.
Single cab too tight, Silverado too heavy...that xcab with 4.3 wasnt bad.

It does have AC and the complete factory gauge cluster works. Looks stock inside and out. Except for the fat tires and CalTrac bars.. Under the hood it almost looks factory.

Lucky you !!!! I have 186k on my 02 1500 I bought new. Runs ok but ready for a freshening...what id give to sneak 6.0 with simply ported heads and a tiny cam by....they are so fn strict. Cant bring myslef to rebuild the same CI...even if it was 50hp more the truck is heavy and lacks TQ most important thing on the st.

Having to deal with smog has to suck. No inspection here. I could do a cam and turbo the hell out of it and nobody would care. LS motors love the turbo and they do not seem to care about how many miles they have on them.

just a quick thing on the notch on the gasket surface. Since center bolt valve covers have the retained gasket that perimeter bolt pad needs to be machined so that the other cover rests flat. Great Video

Thanks! Not a popular head really since it's the old version but I'm sure some will find it useful!

I do this with everything car related if I had the money I'd buy n compare alot more stuff. Well and the space & time!

YT is doing fine, chan is growing some here n there. I just did a collab with another local small chan kinda and got an opportunity to do something with an automotive performance type pro. Still plenty to explore and learn!
