As far as I understand there are six joints up front and two in back that require greasing. I never paid much attention to performing lube jobs in the past, but I want to be more maintenance minded to reduce future failures.
So my question is how much grease should I pump into those fittings. I've heard some say pump until grease comes oozing out of the seal. I've also heard some say pump just enough til the seal becomes firm. Well my seals are always firm, so why am I pumping in more grease in the first place? Which leads to my second question. How often should this procedure be done? Service manual recommends every second oil change.
Also, any good ideas to other things that I should lube at the same time?
