Ok, well this is a never ending problem. Since I broke one of my front y-pipe bolts, the car has a MAJOR exhaust leak. Now I can't get the y-pipe out, unless I use a torch, but since I broke that bolt it won't really matter. If I can get everything off with out breaking any bolts(which would be close to impossible) then I could take the exhaust manifold to my work and possible get the broken bolt out and thread a new one in. Now thats one possiblity, that would be cheap, but no gaurentees. I could also somehow come up with about 800$ to buy TPIS ceramic coated headers, and sell the y-pipe and that would all work, but be very expensive! So Im basically stuck for now, with no vette, more importantly no transportation! I don't know which way to go, any one have any ideas? Or tips on removing the front y-pipe, exhaust manifolds, or installing headers? TIA
Looks like it's time for that GSXR600!! (Katana 600 here). :D
:yesnod: It's just a little too cold though. I am going to try to fix the broken bolt first. If that isn't possible, then maybe hooker headers, do they make them in a ceramic coated shorty header? Then I could use the Y-pipe I have, if not the TPIS long tubes.
