Idle drop
hello, hoping to get some help
86 4+3 completely stock
runs good when cold, when hot idle drops down to almost a stall then comes back up to normal, and keeps fluctuating will stall sometimes after driving
cant find and vacuum leaks with the starter fluid method
built my own home smoke machine and hooked up to the brake booster line, found nothing, is there other better places i should use to test?
replaced IAC valve, no change
any one else have the same problem
egr valve gone bad?
I want to get some more ideas before i tear off the entire intake just because i dont know what else to do

You can't really diagnose issues like this without scan data. Get an ALDL cable and give datacat a shot.

Note: 1986 $32 mask bins have trouble connecting at 8192 baud with most tools. I have been able to connect with 86 test bins in my own 88 car using datacat where other tools have failed.

that would require a smart phone that i do not have
also i forgot to mention in my first post there is no check engine light on and no codes came up when jumping the 2 pins

Don't get too hung up on the codes and jumping pins. It is pretty crude and only jumps up when it is grossly out of spec and not plausible
