Default Yet another electrical problem

Hi guys, I have stated many times I am not good working on electrical issues so once again I am seeking your help. I know the C4 instrument panel is not accurate so I think I'm on the right track. My oil pressure gauge, (not light) is reading hi. It was always going to 71 72 pounds at cold idle the would drop only a little (6 -8 pounds at full operating temps.) I put a mechanical gauge on the engine and it gave a whole different story, cold idle was 57 - 60 and drops to 52 53 at op temp. I bought a new gauge sender and it reads even higher that the first one by 3 to 4 pounds. I have just started noticing a sometimes flickering dash lights and sometimes they go dim and stay that way for a while. I beginning to think a bad ground on the IP which I know is a common problem. I know all these readings sound too high including the mechanical gauge but this was a crate 383 from ATK engines and it has run like a bear with no oil issues at all for almost 5 years now.
I'd like to hear your opinions, thanks

I'm going to ask my question a bit differently since no one responded. Apparently I confused everybody. Here goes, will a bad ground on the instrument cluster cause the oil pressure to show high?

That is a question probably best asked of an "expert" in the Digital dashboard field. Call or contact BATEE.COM and you will get the answer from the man who will "know" the answer. I do know that I fixed a lot of bad connections when I rebuilt my digital dashboard. I just don't know the answer (for sure) so I am pointing you in the right direction to get the answer you deserve.

Best regards,
Chris
