Default 1992 Coupe Exhaust system replacement.

I'm thinking of replacing my exhaust system on my 92 LT-1 from the manifolds back using Magna flow mufflers with LT-1 tips. I was on Corvette Central looking at systems, still up in the air about straight eliminators vs mufflers mainly about sound and cost. I'm proposing eliminating everything going back from the manifolds. In my search I haven't seen exhaust pipes from the manifolds with ox sensor which I will probably need, and wondering if the computer will mind if I delete precats and resonator. Suggestions and advice will be appreciated.

You will have drone problems with your plan.

The stock LT-1 exhaust system is plenty for a stock motor or basic modifications. You are basically doing a mod for sound preference. I have a Corsa and it has zero drone. It is expensive, but I can drive at any speed at light throttle and never hear drone.

The computer will not care if you delete anything other than the upstream 02's. What you may get is a CEL due to CAT function and will need to tune out using the rear 02.

If drone doesn't bother you too much, just delete the mufflers. You will get the sound you want with the lowest expense.

Actually you do not have pre cats. Only 2 factory cats.
FWIW Magnaflow makes a set of mufflers, that come with about 2-3 feet of pipe. They are made to replace your factory mufflers. I have used those, and had zero drone. Your factory pipes are 2 & 3/4....
Again, FWIW replace the system for the sound not performance. If you want both, and can eliminate the cats, get a set of long tube headers, and tie back in to the factory exhaust. It is louder and deeper...

If your car sees the street at all, we would advise against straight-piping it completely. We offer a Street cat back system for your 91 that has a great tone and balanced volume that won't sacrifice cabin comfort and your neighbor's positive impression of you

You can check it out here on our website: https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...m?aces=8650794

This kit is built with a bung for the O2 sensor on the driver side inlet pipe.
