Default Small question about PCV values.

I've been slowly hunting down a couple of issues, in this case a rough idle when stopped a light. Starting with the simplest and cheapest check, the PVC. I just got a new grommet for the passenger side thinking the old one was falling apart as the pcv hose came out easily before. Turns out the existing grommet was ok but then I realized, there's no actual valve on mine! It goes from engine block to grommet to pipe to throttle body. Breathed through it and it's just a basic hose, no valve at all. I assume there was no optional delete option for that correct?

The passenger side has the vent line, it goes up to the throttle body and supplies metered air to the engine. The actual PCV valve is in the driver side valve cover.

That's what I figured... just wanted to make sure.

Edit: Opps, I misread the fsm tech picture. Benny was right. I was looking at the positive air pressure intake side. There is no valve on that side.
This video cleared up my confusion
