1991 Brake Line Replacement
Any info would be great!
Thanks!
The ABS system is a lot more complicated and I would agree with the above post. I would not consider the cost for having piece of mind when applying the brakes.
Good luck with your repair

Classic Tube up in New York makes reproduction lines and sells them for about $200.
You can get a perfect fitting set of brand New brake lines in a matter of a week or two. If you prefer S.S. they will be happy to do that for you. They are not "easy" to replace in your driveway but if you are creative and want to save a few bucks it can be done, I raised the Car up and put it on stands and then remove wheels and do whatever is needed. Your set is the same as the 1988 as they have us listed as 88,89,90,91 which I know is incorrect. That explains why I had extra parts that did not line up or match anything on my 1988 C4. The 1988 has a one year only master cylinder and is a very primitive version of anti-lock brakes. The hardest part for a lot of folks is bleeding all the air out. I use a reverse pressure bleeder and it makes the job much easier.
Classic Tube also makes the rubber brake lines for between the car and the caliper, your choice or original or SS braided hose. The SS makes the brakes allows for a better pedal feel. The standard rubber lines there need to be replaced on many old cars as it swells up and absorbs the pressure of the brake fluid instead of pushing the brake piston like it supposed to be doing. I have them on both my Corvettes. The products that Classic makes are D.O.T. approved where some other brands are not.
Best regards,
Chris
