A few months ago one of the bands that hold my tire pressure sensors on snapped, and let the sensor self destruct inside the tire. Funny thing was, that the sensor still worked!
I pulled it out, and drove a while with the sensor out, while i tried to find a new band. So, yesterday i got the new band on, and the sensor back in the tire. Remember the sensor worked when it came out! But now, i'm still getting the warning message that the system is messed up... even though the sensor is back inside the tire.
So, am i missing anything here? Do i need to "reprogram" the sensor?? I know the damn thing was working when it came out, so why isn't it working now?
:smash:
I tried to get codes out of the damn thing, but there wasn't any..
Re: Tire pressure sensor system is messed up! HELP?! (Scoob)
Couple things.
Pull the codes and see if it's detecting trouble on the same wheel.
The service manual will likely be needed for good trouble shooting. I can't imagine the sensor being serviceable after bouncing around the tire but, ya never know. I would check the manual and verify all servicing requirements for replacing the band were met.
