Superram porting
With all the superrams out there, how many guys have taken the time and effort to do any porting on them? What did you port on them and do you feel it was worth the effort? I've started doing mine the last few days, it's a job.

I'm going to take mine in and have it done in a couple weeks. I'll have some bench #s before and after around the first part of December. Are you matching ports all the way down to the heads?

Yes. The manifold is pretty much done. I never really paid much attention to the area where the runner meets the plenum, it looks like nice gains can be made there. Also, the runners are full of cast flash which is a easy clean up.
Going to a 383 has been easy, it's the little things that take the time to get right and hopefully add up to make a difference.

Here's a link to some pics of mine, I didn't take any of the manifold in this bunch, but it's comparable as far as flash is concerned..... and probably port match too. Does/did your unit look similar? Rich at Cruizin Performance says there's abount 300-400 CFM to be picked up........ I thought that would be a significant improvement over what this thing currently is :yesnod:

Yep, thats mine. Well at least thats what it looked like last week. I've been working on it the last 3 or 4 days. The runner almost look like I've had them extrude honed. I think the time spent on it will be worth while.

I did not port mine. I cleaned up all the casting flash with Standard Abrasives sanding rolls and then had the runners and Accel base Extrude Honed. I didn't have the patience to port it with grinders and sanding disks. I did not get it flowed so I don't know what I picked up.
