Default Charging problems

So i am having problems with my c4 charging i charge my battery and it reads 12.9 when i start it it reads 12.6 and slowly starts dropping and then dies i have a good battery and alternator and have no shorts and spliced a new battery terminal in place of the corroded one. It helps but doesn't fix the problem

Your dash gauge could be bad so be aware of that p ossibility. It's possible it could be the charging wire (was on mine). Take a heavy wire from the lug on the alternator to the positive battery post and see if that makes a difference in your charging and voltage readings. Just be careful of the old wire, it should be hot on both ends.

That would work, or you could measure the voltage between the alternator output and the battery + terminal. It should be <.2V. Chances are your alternator is bad, I'd have it tested at most any auto parts store.
