I have to replace the old muffler eliminator's on my 86, thinking about getting a set from Zip Corvette, has anyone here ever bought them from Zip, any complaints? See pic.
Zip has always been a "Stand Up" company who will honor their warranty and help the customer to the max. I would take the the chance with ZIP without any second thoughts!
If this is the "second set" maybe you need them call Allen's Stainless Exhaust systems and get them in Stainless or Aluminized Steel as you prefer. I have the same parts on both of my Corvettes attached to a Chambered Exhaust system which eliminates the mufflers. I have had two of their Chambered Systems on my Corvettes for a long time. Neither of them has any corrosion on them and will last a long time, my first is ~25 years old and the C4 system is about 21 years old.
Hey Mark, I actually had a set of those on my '87 I was telling you about. They looked nice and the car sounded great! I wouldn't hesitate to shop Zip again.
That looks pretty darn good Dave! I actually have a muffler delete set on the car now but its old & worn out, will be ordering that set soon, I just bought a couple of new tires and that set me back a little bit. Will be in touch,Mark
I have those eliminators, the pass side was installed fine, the driver's side didn't fit the Y-pipe, had to have a new pipe made. Not too expensive ($150 extra parts and labor), but it turned a $250 job all in into a $400 job. Extremely annoying. That being said, they sound and look good.
