My air pump had a bad bearing so I bought a delete kit on eBay.
now the long tube that runs on top of the exhaust manifold has exhaust gases coming out of it when the car is running. I thought the pipe had a check valve to prevent this?
am I able to remove the plug or whatever it is in the picture and cap/plug it here? Does any one happen to know the thread size? I am saving for headers but need to cap/plug this pipe on both sides of the engine in the mean time. I appreciate any help!
Yes, that is the check valve. I would put some anit-sieze compound on the threads just in case you ever have to take the cap off again.
thank you.
one more question. Why do I need 3 of them? It looks like I only have 2. One on each side of the block (driver/passenger side). My smog pump is removed with a pulley kit.

I think there is a another port somewhere else, I just can't remember where right now.
