LT1 knock sensor

Could a faulty knock sensor cause my car to be running rich? :seeya

I wouldn't think a faulty knock sensors would make you car run rich, maybe a faulty O2 sensor.

if ya have roller rockers.... take out the knock sensors and put teflon tape around them. ;)

Knock Sensor is an input for the spark timing calculation.
Oxygen sensor is an input for the injector pulse width calculation.

The O2's are brand new and functioning properly. Scanned the ECM and I only get a code for the knock sensor. Haven't taken the car back for it's smog test but it seemed to be running too rich to pass the test, but I'm still unsure if the knock sensors could cause a rich condition. I would think if the spark/timing was off it could run rich. Any ideas before I go take a stab at my 3rd strike? :seeya

It's been almost a week. Is it fixed yet?

If not, let me know what you've done so far. I brought that book home and I can thumb through it to see if there is anything you might have missed.
