Has anybody made mods to the interior of their C4? I would like to add some color, and give it more of a (functional) modern race look..........any recommendations or pictures? Its hard to find interior mods for the C4s, its all about the C5 out there.
So far I've only done two interior mods:
-put a plastic white "CORVETTE" lettered cover over the DIC.
-put a plastic cover into the hole in the center console and replaced the standard C4 logo with a 35th Anniversary logo from a spare horn button.
I am looking for a 6 to 10 CD FM modulated deck to put under the right rear accessory tray. It looks as though there may be enough room under there to house it.
You could add a set of 2 tone 94-96 door panels and kick panels to add a bit of color. They are available in an array of colors.
Although the passenger side kick panel presents a little bit of a problem. That panel is part of the upper dash. You will need to have the carpet removed. Then have a new piece glued into place.
Those would look really good. I would like to add a matching shifter boot & ****, and a two tone steering wheel or cover, but I have had a hard time finding that kind of stuff for a C4. But those panels do look
Try www.wheelskins.com for 2 tone steering wheel covers and shifter boots. www.flameball.com for new shifter ball, in fact these light up at night :yesnod:
Thanks.......thats what I am looking for with the steering wheel, but the shift **** is a little loud. I was looking for something that matches the 2 tone effects, like the Z06 look
Why not order a C5 one from Vette Essentials? All C5 ***** fit on C4s. Thats what I'm probably going to end up doing.
I'm not sure if our shift pattern will fit though, might have to live with the C5 shift pattern.
I was also going to buy two seperate shift boots one of each color I wanted and just take it to a interior place to have them both sown together like this as well.

My C5 Shift **** did NOT fit on my C4 shifter!!! ??????
Sounds like a great idea.........we should market C4 upgrades like that since it seems nobody else does. I wish the C5 **** would fit. :D
Someone needs too, it seems like all the manufactures forgot about the C4 when the C5 came out. You can get all sorts of interior upgrades for a C5 but for a C4 we are limited to replacing the carpet & wood grain dash kits.
I have the red/black door panels that Biz showed. I'll sell them real cheap since one has a crack at the bottom edge(can't be seen with the door closed).
I used to have all black in my interior. I swapped out the door panels to red and black like Biz posted, swapped out the kick panels in red, it was no problem since my car is a 94. I also bought a red and black wheelskin, and some red floormats. Getting ready to put a dual gauge pod on the a pillar and thinking about either some wet okoles or swapping out the seats with some red ones.:)
Sounds good.......but I really don't want red. I want yellow or blue, thanks for the offer. The work at Vetteessentials is exactly what I want.....too bad they haven't branched to the C4. Maybe he will soon. I do not plan on getting a C5 anytime soon (prefer C4), but I do dig those designs.
I love that car. Where did you get the dash kit from Zix?

It's the stock pieces stripped and painted...pretty easy to do actually. The pictures suck because the interior pieces are actually painted the same color silver that is on the exterior of the car...you just can't tell in the pics, they look grey. The hardest part was stripping the old rubberized coating off the original pieces...it's just time consuming really.
