Since I do not see a visor, I am going to guess it is wire to power a lighted mirror in the missing visor. Will help if you posted year. I do not think any Corvette has a sunroof. Targa Tops..... Yes.

I need a couple of those female ends for my 1990 and haven't been able to find em anywhere for the life of me. I have half a mind to just cut the male ends off the visors and just twist em together with some heat shrink over them.

A dab of solder would work too.

Please dont. Jump on amazon and buy heat shrink connectors that have solder in them. Get a heat gun or preferably a hot air SMD device remover.. they are miracle workers.

Can you recommend an "hot air smd device remover?" Some of us have no idea what you're talking about. But we probably need one.

Okay, here is what I would recommend :

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RMRCC3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RMRCC3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/TXINLEI-858D-Station-Tweezers-Desoldering/dp/B07FBGFT3K/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=hot+air+desoldering&qid=1576278508&sr=8-9 https://www.amazon.com/TXINLEI-858D-Station-Tweezers-Desoldering/dp/B07FBGFT3K/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=hot+air+desoldering&qid=1576278508&sr=8-9

You can go cheaper on the hot air station but I wouldnt go much. I guess a regular old heat gun could work but being able to direct the air into a narrow stream and adjusting the temp is very nice.

I had some mice eat cables on my truck in an extremely difficult area and these things saved me. Now that I have a bunch I would use them over a crimp connector any day. Looks like you need about 138f temp to melt the solder.

I really thought I was screwed before I found these.. they worked very well. They are pretty water tight too because of the heat shrink component. When you are done you will smile because you know you did quality work. By the way SMD stands for surface mount device. They are on almost all circuit boards today Sorry I was lazy and should have been more detailed..

Hm. I've never seen those before. I would have soldered anyway, but those make things a bit easier. I'll grab some, thanks. Learn something new every day.

No problem.. really should work fine with a normal heat gun. I already had the desoldering station. Very neat and clean job when done.
