Default free home made x pipe

I was in the garage today looking for something to do.
( i'm still waiting for my headers to come back from coating )

I had been toying with the idea of fitting an h or x pipe to my dual system, as i still have to connect the headers to the rear exhaust section.

My exhaust is fairly new and while i was looking at the two front pipes on the ground i realised if i cut it into pieces in the right places you can indeed make an front exhaust section in one piece with a super cross over section

To do it you have to cut the 90 bends off the front, that join onto the exhaust manifolds and then cut again were the pipes curl around the trans at the rear. Its then just a case of cutting everything to the correct length and welding it all together. Mine has come out as good as any i have seen advertised or fitted to a vette, I wish i could take a photo and post it to show you all how good it turned out.

All you need is a welder an angle grinder and a tape measure.

:D :D  :D :D
