This one is bound to be tough--I had the SIR Infl light, so I did the TSB on the sensors, and I even had to replace one sensor.
Now I still have one remaining fault code, which is apparently for the squib itself. The local 'Vette shop gave me a Polish hand salute and said maybe the dealer can fix that as it is way down in the steering column.
Has anyone had experience repairing/replacing these? I'm trying to fix all the problems I know about so I can sell the car. Or should I sell it with this problem also, as a known problem?

Gordon Killebrew said that the connector for this would get dirty quite often. The fix was to clean the connector, put it back together, and wrap it with black electrical tape to keep it clean. They changed the connector later on to a weatherpack style one that would not get dirty as easily.

Which connector? I've had the steering wheel off, and been way down in the column to replace the sliding contact for the horn and one horn button. I saw where the line goes through for the squib.
Are you talking about a connector at the other end of the column, or one that comes out elsewhere?
