C4 Corvette LS/ 6-speed swap
Here's the slot it plugs into:
I've already tried ebay, rockauto, the major corvette retailers and salvage yards, so any help you guys can give would be great.

My friend at the shop has also determined why the rear hatch pop button was not working, The hatch pop solinoid apperently needs to be replaced. I also need to get a new pig tail connector for the wiper motor as I guess the connector got crushed at some point during the swap (no big deal). Once those are dealt with the electrical will be all rapped up. He's also got all the A/C connectors he thinks we will need on order now too.
We had a few hours between weather systems today when the sun came out briefly and my friend jumped on the oppertunity and put a seat in the car and got it out for a quick 5 min low speed drive. He says that we've got lots of tuning to do (of course) but the car is running fine and he did not have any mechanical problems so far.
Hopefully when the weather is better we can get it out for a longer test drive, unfortunatly I wasn't able to attend the unplanned test drive this afternoon as I had other plans but i'm happy to hear it went well.
Thanks to the wonderfuk help from fourm member WVZR-1 we were able to locate a connector for the wiper control cover. I can't overstate how great the help on this was.
Secondly my friend got all the fittings in and has figured out how to route all the A/C lines. He accidentally ordered a couple wrong sizes, which have since been re-orderes but figuring out how to route the lines was a big accomplishment. Once the correct size fittings arrive we'll get the lines made up and charge the system up.
Here's some shots of the engine as it sits now.
The interior is almost back together and should be finished before my friend goes home tonight. Never mind the ratty looking seat, The car has an appointment booked at an upholstery shop in the spring to take care of the seats.
And the best part of the day was I got to take the car out for a shake down run. It was about zero degrees and sunny so with summer tires and a new motor I just took it real easy. The car performed perfect, good oil pressure, coolant temp was good, fans cycled on and off perfectly, clutch and trans operated well. Gauges are working, brakes operate just fine.
Couple things to note:
The clutch pedal is very lite and easy to work compare to the old setup. Power steering seem a little lighter to the touch. The lower gearing will be great for in parking lots or traffic.
I can't comment on power/ performance just yet since it was cold out and the car is just brand new I wanted to be smart and not break anything but next time, we'll try and do some tuning while driving and I proabbly can try getting into the gas a bit once we get an idea of what the tune is while driving.
Here's my friend who has been working on the car, can't say enough about how impressed I am with his work he is an exoerienced mechanic but this was his first LS swap and he aced it. (I won't name him or his shop as per forum rules).
Edit: the sign in the background is NOT for his shop, its just a random place in the parking lot where we stopped to take pictures of the car.

The ebay used rear hatch actuator arrived last week so I stopped it into my friends shop about 5pm today...
We did a quick bench test and thankfully it does work, so the power hatch pop issue is now dealt with.
Were mainly waiting for a couple more A/C fittings to arrive, once they do then we can get the A/C lines made and the system charged.
One small item that did get taken care of since last week, was the 'dash skeleton' mounting point was broken off right by the headlight ****. It didn't rattle, but it did cause the whole instrument cluster to sag slightly its always been that way since i've owned the car (2003), anyway, the shop made up a nice little aluminum bracket to hold the dask skeleton to the mounting point, should solve that issue. The aluninum bracket will be totally hidden by the instrument cluster trim piece.
The interior is basically done (for now), minus the kick panels, which they still have to put new carpet on.
My center console plastic was looking pretty ratty and had a few cracks in it. My friend at the shop suggested last week we should just replace it. So i've ordered a new plastic console cover and also a new console door. Once those arrive the other plastic pieces can go back on.
Also after talking last week we agreed that, the shifter **** doesn't quite fit the 'stock like' theme of the car, so i've ordered a new C5 6spd shifter **** as well as a redline custom leather (cover) for the shift **** which matches my shift boot.

Hood and hatch strut set:
Also the new center console piece:
The new console piece is very nice, but I noticed it more of a flat black, versus my existing trim pieces that are more of a shiny black... does anyone know of a interior plastic dye that matches this console piece? I would like to dye the adjacent trim pieces to match.
