Default How to raise lowered 85?

Does anyone know if it's possible to slightly raise up a lowered 85? My car has the lowering wedges in the front but I'm not sure if my spring is just worn out or if it's really supposed to lower the car this much but I scrape on everything now. Heck, it even scrapes getting out of my garage (that little 2 inch lip). As it sits now, the tires are actually slightly higher than the lip of the hood. I was hoping to get the car to where the wheel gap was about an inch or two.

I was thinking of adding a small rubber block between the end of the spring and where it sits in the control arm. Think that would raise it back up a bit?

Here is a pic of the front and rear. The rear is what I'm after.

When the front was lowered the pad approx 1" was removed and 3/16 or so wedge installed. One way would be replace spring and possibly brackets. The easier way would be to place shims aluminium or hard plastic between control arms and spring tips.
The rear is a matter of tightening nuts on spring end bolts, provided there enough threads or replacing bolts with stock ones. If you elect to replace the bolts besure they grade and size. You will want a level surface to check ride height. Rear spring bolts can be adjusted to tweak trim.

Appreciate it. I have the upgraded kit bolts in place and have the rear dialed in to my preferred height. The "place shims aluminium or hard plastic between control arms and spring tips" portion was what I was looking for guidance on. That was my thought but figured I'd ask to make sure I wasn't going down the wrong path. I'll give that a try to see how it responds as I think if I can get a half inch to an inch increase in height I'll be in good shape. If that doesn't work I may look into a new spring. May have been a combination of things but the lowering wedges lowered the car every bit of 2+ inches. Went from a 4x4 stance in the front to a rice burner stance. Need that middle ground.

If you like the current look and handling characteristics you might consider instead trimming the chin spoiler up slightly. This is what's dragging occasionally and it is designed to do this. You'll also gain a little bit of upward movement on the front of the car if you lower the rear, but you can't gain a whole lot this way. I've lowered my '84 a few years ago and it does drag once in a while. The look and the ride are worth it to me, but I can understand priorities other than my own. I trimmed my chin spoiler, but only on the ends so that the bottom edges line up with the center section. I did this because it improved the look, but it also helped a bit with the dragging. This is an option, and one that you can complete with a good pair of hand shears in the driveway in about 15 minutes.

Good luck.
