3D One Paint Correction Polishing Compound - Amazing Stuff
As some of you may (or may not) already know I just picked up a black `88 coupe recently and since I have had it in my garage the last week or so I've been going over everything including the exterior finish which had the usual paint swirls, scuffs and dull areas. After a bit of interweb research I came across some vids on this new product by 3D and I gave it a try. All I can say it is everything it is advertised and more. Easy to use and the results were amazing so I'm posting this in case anyone else was wondering ......
here's the link to 3D's webpage

I didn't have any cutting pads but I did use two separate 5" yellow foam pads with my hand held drill attachment and the 3D One was very easy to work out the fine swirls etc .. with a couple of shots over a 36" x 36" area at a time. No white residuals on the door handles or weather seals and it wipes off the paint pretty easily. My real "buffer" is one on those old 12" Dewalt monsters with the hair triggers that I didn't want to set loose on the vette so I used the small 5" foam pads and glad I did. Amazon is selling 8 oz containers of the 3D one for @ $10 . I only used about 4 Oz ($5 worth not bad) for the entire car on the vette so you get good coverage for the price. I'm sold on it. I finished the car off with Turtle wax Jet Black detailer polish and it really looks great.
I will be purchasing a new true hand held buffing kit with specific cutting/ polishing pads very soon as my wife's 2016 black honda fit really needs to be gone over. With that car I will post before and after pics.
A Good Cold Beer helps but is optional !!
