Default TPIS Headers on a 92 LT1

Got my Dear John e-mail from Melrose saying I'm SOL on my headers I ordered last month. Scrambling now to find a set. Went to the TPIS site, and they say fitment runs from 84-91. Looked at Hooker 2149 same 84-91, but there 2151 fits 84-96 ? Who knew getting a set of tubes would be such a PIA... I thought maybe it had to do with the LT1 ports being different, but if that's the case why does the 2151 seem to fit all years... signed, confused in Idaho

i had TPIS 1 3/4” headers on my 93 lt1 6spd. They fit awesome and were a great header
i could not tell you the pn. I bought/installed them in 2002 and removed/sold them in 2012

The lt1 has different egr and air injection ports, so that's a difference.

If you have neither AIR nor EGR, the Hooker 2151 should work just fine. I have them on my LT4 and they fit well and don't cost an arm and a leg. For some reason, the Hooker site itself doesn't show them as an option for a 92 C4. But Summit's site does. I assume you have two O2 sensors, one for each bank, ahead of the cats? If so, you'll need to get bungs and have them welded in each collector. That's no big deal, though.

Do yourself a favor, call Stainless Works and order a set with no emissions fittings. Fit is great, quality is great. No complaints.
