Stumbles starting out (sometimes)
85 Corvette all stock. 40K miles Sometimes when I start out normal street driving at a red light or stop sign the car stumbles and then quickly recovers. Hasn't stalled and doesn't do it every time. I have an old AutoXray scanner and no trouble codes. But when I attach it to the diagnostics port the idle RPM goes up to 1300. messes up my testing as the higher rpm it will not falter. With my brother driving, nothing on the scanner looked out of bounds. Thinking the Idle control solenoid pintle might have carbon and need cleaned or replaced. Any ideas?

While your IAC could be a contributor, I'd also check your settings on your TPS (throttle position sensor) and make sure it is .525. When was the last time your throttle body was cleaned? If you have build up, your system could stick, causing intermittent acceleration/transition problems.
