Default Interior Light Relay

Interior light on my 84 Vet are not working at least not The way supposed to work. The door switches appear to be working when you open the doors the lights appear in the window to let you know which door is open. If you turn the light switch to maximum the interior lights will come on but when in the normal operating procedure they are not functioning I am just assuming that the relay is the culprit I like to know where the relay is it located Hope to hear from someone soon

Look behind the breadbox, attached likely to the upper wiring harness. Not easy to get to.

This is a very strange observation. If the door switches are working, all of the interior lamps should illuminate when you open either door. What "window" are you seeing the lights appear? Has someone been "creative" with the wiring?

To answer your question (which may be a secondary issue), the interior lights timer is accessible by removing the kick panel above your passengers feet. The "breadbox" does NOT need to be removed.

Maybe I should have clarified my comment. You don't need to remove the breadbox but the relay is roughly behind it wrapped onto the wiring harness along the upper area of the dash. I've looked for mine before from the bottom and haven't gotten to it yet.

Default Window readings

Window readings this just shows when either door is open everything works except the The lights alarm system is working also if I use the light switch I can make the interior lights come on so I’m assuming Hass to be the relay behind the bread box .Question for you the switches at the beginning of the doors closer to the hood how can you tell if your operational both switches go in and out rather easy Hope to hear from you soon The interior lights always worked before now they just stopped

When the relay goes bad, the lights stay on and don't go off no matter what you do

I'm sorry, but I do not understand what you are talking about. Here's a diagram of my '84 interior lights delay circuit:

This is what I probably need I need to go to the passenger side of the car and look underneath the bread basket I believe this is located there but getting to it might be a problem I know there’s a relay and a boardThat will probably need replacing we will take a peek when the weather gets better still a little chilly here in the New England area again thanks for the info deeply appreciate it
