Default trouble w/ exhaust leak

I am having a hard time trying to get the left side of my exhaust to seal well with the cat. The top bolt is such a pain to get to that I think it is tight when it apparently is not. Everything works well for a while, then 1-2 weeks after working on it the leak returns. I am fairly sure this is the location of the leak as it goes away for a while after I R&R the exhaust.

Any pointers on how to maintain a good seal here?

You may want to check the catalytic converter. I'd be willing to bet it's plugged and building up pressure. :yesnod:

I believe the leak is after the cat as that is what I am R&R. Also, I had new cats put on about 18 months ago, so if they are clogged then I have some serious problem.

Check the motor and tranny mounts to see if the motor is torqueing up which will tweak the exhaust. I've seen them loosen up that way too. :yesnod:
