How much will it raise the LT1 compression?

I thought it was closer to .5 of a point?

Compressed LT1 Impala gasket is .029.

What is compressed LT1 Corvette gasket thickness? I know the LT4 gasket is .049 thickness, if you go from .049 to .029 that is .5 increase...

Once that is known, you can go to http://www.smokeup.com and run the compression math...

My compressed stock LT1 gaskets always measured .050-.051, I remember reading they were supposed to be .049 but they always measured a couple thousand's over. Wasn't the LT1 something like 10.3:1 stock, so 10.3 + .5 = 10.8? I haven't figured it lately but it seems like going to the Impala head gasket gets you pretty darn close to 10.8 but I can't remember if that is with the LT4 pistons or the LT1 pistons?
