Dimmer switch doesn't
I have a 93 Ruby 40th ZR-1. The hi/lo beam doesn't work. The actual switch does work as I have been able to actually turn it off and on and watch the headlights change. The problem is the stalk. It is locked in place. I've looked at the posts and I'm trying to figure out if I have to pull the steering wheel to fix it. I can it to work when I mess with the rod on the low end but that is short lived. Any pictures would be helpful. Thanks.

The dimmer pivot is the wiper switch. You will need to remove steering wheel, " clock spring", and turn signal switch to see what's going on. I would look on YouTube.most 90s GM tilt columns are pretty much the same. If you can get around quarantine pick n pull for practice disassembly. Don't try on anything special such as a corvette or f body manual shift.there are.plenty of other automatic columns to make mistakes on.

I just went through this....you can put the pivot switch back in place"sometimes" without removing the steering wheel once you understand where it goes (if it isn't actually broke-it may be, mine just came out of place....pull the cap off behind the stalk, the pivot switch is not held in there with anything except friction..... PM me and I may have some pictures I can send... after I did it for the tenth time to get it right, I really understood how it all went together. The forum and registry REALLY helped me out!
