Default SR install

Okay, you SR guys, what did you do with the injector harness? I cant really find a good neat way to run it. It wont fit between the valvecover and manifold anymore. I think iunder the plenum just inside the runners might be it, but it doesnt look very good. What have you guys done?

Thanks

It works. Just stuff it in down between the runners and valve cover. What I don't run down there is the PCV hoses. Cut the little plastic tabs off that would normally bolt to the manifold to make room.

Scorp & Ski, did you fit them in there with the plastic sheath on? Im not using stock valve covers, maybe thats why it seems so tight.

I was all planned to ship that day, then the baby sitter called me and my 1 yr old was running a 105 fever. Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Now I feel like I am getting it.

As for the wiring, Leave the plastic on and just shove it HARD! Its will slide in there. I have aftermarket covers too. Its tight!

Thanks Gus...You chip has been sent via FedEx at noon today. The truck was just pulling it to pick up so you should have it tomorrow.

You will have to explain the above questions.

I got an IM from you, but the screen was all messed up since the change over. Email me please if you have questions.

Enjoy.

Default SR install

To neaten things up a bit, We took off the plastic thingamajig and wrapped the harness with tape(ala ralph) and then snuck everything underneath the runners(also noticed that from ralphs engine) it looks much nicer. I have pictures, but that particular area doesn't show the detail.

Good luck with it.

I noticed that on Ralph engine too. It will also be one less thing in the way when I pull the valve covers. Will have to do that more with the solid cam :D Now if I could figure out a way to get that pesky AC pump to clear the valve cover on the pass side! What a PITA to get that bracket out of the way.

Yeah hopefully there will be about 4 inches under the front tires then....but that is doubtful. If there is, then there will probably be chunks of the rear laying behind

yeah, i split my harness up into 2-3 groups and retaped them with that silver heat tape. then stuffed them between the runners and the fuel rails. I also cut some of the webbing out of the base and turned some of the injectors so they would plug in from the inside. Just hope i never have to pull of the harness, cause the plenum would have to come off. After two years like that...no problems (except the time i drilled thru the harness, but that's another story).
