electric water pump - backup plan?
Bonus photo: I tied up some loose ends while sheltering in place. Removed the hood since I was in the front end for a few weeks. This was my method for replacing and adjustment. 2 tie straps and a pool noodle.
But FWIW I have seen more problems with the relay, vs the actual pump....
I like the factory fan relay for a pump relay for a few reasons.
1. The fans pull way more amps then the pump, so its heavy enough.....
2. Factory relays seem to be very reliable
3. If it failed, you could swap it with one of the fan relays to make it home, at least that is my plans are with my 93...
BTW. what pump do you have? I always heard the meziere is the most reliable.
I thinj you're right about the relay, it looks like there wiring could be better. I'll probably start there
1. cooling fan relay connector kit. 25-105172-1 https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corv...1988-1994.html
2. cooling fan relay. 25-101895-1 https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corv...1988-1994.html
Back when I got mine, it came as a upgrade kit (all together) for the early c4 fans.....
Hope this helps
