My mechanic replaced the horn cancel cam, horn, and battery on my 1996. All looked good until a few days later. The Air Bag light came on then. I ran a scan and that showed no codes. Then I pulled the front seat cushion and checked all connectors that were tight. Not sure if that mattered anyway.
I made an error in my description. Used a odb2 scanner to diagnose. Showed no present codes. Ran all diagnostic tests. All ok. Then I reset which did nothing as expected. Thanks for reply.

Yeascanning the ECM/PCM wont give you the airbag codes.
I’m with Carter on the ribbon. But worthwhile to remove the airbag to make sure the connector is still seated.
