Running hot, not sure if my analog gauge is working. It seems to work but after a flush and fill in still getting a temp rise to the 250/260 mark after a few miles on the highway. I’ve verified no air in the system and levels are good. I’d like to rule out the analog gauge before I yank the radiator in the 105 heat tomorrow.
now, normally I’d use the gauges button on the DIC but as luck would have it, it doesn’t work and neither does the fuel info button. All the others do.
now what I can’t find again is: what’s the trick to get the coolant temp to display on the air conditioning panel?
thanks in advance!!
PS. It’s a 1995 c4 convertible. First corvette, trying to learn the ways!
Coolant temp is paramater #16.
Hold both fan speed up and fan speed down at the same time.
The display is "- 00"
Push fan speed up until "16" is displayed.
Push middle fan button. Coolant temp is displayed in Deg C
Ignore this.
You can just press gauge button on the DIC until coolant temp show up on the cluster.

IDK or else I'd tell you how. My car has base HVAC
In Chump's haste to diss and F with me, Chump completely missed the OP saying the button didn't work.
I told him how to query the HVAC. Here it is again:

Yup that’s what I needed. And so far it appears as my analog gauge is wayyyy off. A full indicator like amount. Analog gauge shows middle position, and digital readout is showing a converted 190 degrees. So it should be a hair above the 185 line not just past the halfway mark on the analog scale.
Thanks again, I’m sure I’ll have many more questions on down the road.

That sounds about right. The temp gauge is not connected to a sending unit; it's "driven" by the Body Control Module. In reality, the analog gauge is like a "cold", "warm" and "HOT", idiot light. It is in no way, a "precise" instrument. For precise readings you need to use the DIC (when it's working) or the method that ihatebarkingdogs shared with you.
