Default Got my DART heads!

Last Thursday I got the heads and the guy that I got them from CLAIMS them to be DART heads. I e-mailed Dart for info on IDing them and haven't had a responce yet. How do I tell what I have here?....... they have 2.05 intakes angle plugs and the ports are still virgin and they are HUGE! ....... there are no long numbers on them but a few short numbers:
inside the valve cover area is: W
D19
93
then towards the center is: NH

and way to the right is: 1-037

any clues ?
Thanks in advance .........Im collecting parts for a 421 ........ :yesnod: :seeya

On the Scoggin-Dickey website, they listed a Dart Pro 1 SBC head with 2.05 intake valve and a 200cc intake runner. Might be what you're looking at. Sounds like they should flow well.

This may be a dumb question, but have you tried calling them? I never bother with email on stuff like that. Most of the time you don't get an answer that way.

With a 2.05 intake valve this could be one of their 215cc monsters.

They may well be the 215s. The chambers are quite large. No I didn't try to call them .......that'll be next. The e-mail was sent to their help line.
These heads were on a circle track engine that was quite stout. The guy I got them from is a freind that has a machine shop in his backyard where he rebuilds race engines for local racers so they may very well be the big stuff, just right for a 421 I hope.

You may want to ask the guy that sold you this if they are 18* heads because most circle track engines have them and not 23* heads like you have if they are 18* then you will have to have headers made.

Jay

PS all Pro 1 Dart heads have the name (Pro 1) casted in the head.

I have the same heads on my 406 (same casting indentifications). They are the old "Dart II" 200cc heads. They were formerly sold by both Dart and World Products, and are now only sold as the World Products Sportsman II. They have 200cc intake ports. The "W" is for World.

For more info, you can download the "casting guide" from the World Castings website (in the Tech Library).

Thanks Flareside that's just what I needed. Dart finally answered my e-mail this morning and they also said that the "W" stood for world products....

I've got the Pro1 200's for my 408 and they do say Pro1 above the intake ports inside the valve cover area. With 2.05's they are most likely 215's
