My 1993 c4 with only 86k miles accelerates excellent through all gears like new. I have noticed, however, that sometimes when I gun it up to 90s + and then let off the gas to make sure I don't run up on the cars ahead of me the car seems to vibrate pretty strongly. Feels like it's coming from engine but I could be wrong. It goes away as I eventually get to lower gears and lower speeds. Any idea what this could be?
Stick or auto?
in any powertrain, there is acceleration and deceleration.
in accel, there is a torquing to right and decel torquing to the left.
on accel, torque comes from engine, and on decel torquing comes from wheels/tires.
i would inspect half shaft and driveshaft u joints, motor mount bolts, batwing rubber mounts, dog bones rubber, bolts on torque arm c beam bolts.
but my bet is u joints
