Default Great Custom Chip

Some of you may have been following the project I have been working on, well its done, and the results are very good. The key to finishing this project was the tune\chip work. I didnt know that Jesse (Ski_Down_it) did chips, I only knew of Craig Marcho, and he hooked me up pretty well last year, but I tried to contact him without success, so I went looking for a new tuner! Several people recommended Jesse, and the rest is history.

Now as far as the chip, it made a huge difference, even more so than when Craig Marcho burned my other one. Its not that Craigs was bad, but its that the more mods and HP your car has, the more effective the chip is. When my car was stock, I foolishly paid $300 for a TPIS stage 2 chip, and all it did was lower the fan temps. Craigs first attempt, with the data I provided him, made a big improvement, and he did a great job, but I had some mods at this point, so the chip work was very noticeable.

Now, with a ton more mods, I provided Jesse (Ski_Down_it) with loads of data, and a complete list of all my mods. Although the car ran surprisingly well with the factory chip, it was hard to tune the idle, and it would stumble in parts of the powerband.

The second I put in the new chip, the idle was easy to tune, the car responded better, and the trap speed and ET were much improved. I would think that this chip is better than anything you can buy off the shelf, its possible that Ed Wright may be able to do the same if you give him the data, but at a much higher price. Jesse is further analyzing more data as I send it to him, and he will make the tune even better!!! I am very pleased. His work has been worth every penny, and then some. If anyone needs a reference, please contact me. I will continue to post results as we make improvements, but if you have mods, and are thinking about getting a chip.......call Jesse first. But dont think a chip is going to do anything for your stock car!

Glad to hear you got things working - congratulations. With a glowing endorsement like that, maybe Jesse should become a Supporting Vendor! (just kidding Jesse).

Cheers!
