So I bought an 87 from an old military vet. Didn’t pay much for the car and In my restoration, one problem I’ve come across, is the transmission went out after I pulled the car off the trailer and drove it about 100yds. First check fluid level and color. If it's full your going to need to remove pan and check for debris. If there's alot of debris transmission will need repaired or replaced. You could contact seller for more information about it. It may have been why car was parked. Get factory service manuals if you plan to diy this project. Manuals can be used to identify and locate items in the mess under the hood.

Low fluid will make the tranny slip. Might have been leaking over the years. The wiring shouldn't affect the transmission. It has a mechanical linkage and only the lockup is controlled electronically.
that’s what the dude said it had in it, he also said it was a limited edition out of 3000???
Then he fed you a line of BS. You can't create HP with a computer chip. Change timing a bit but that's about all. Limited addition? Maybe in that color but other than that it is another 87 like thousands of others.
