Default Code C41 / Err... AGH!

93 corvette base. 42K original and stock garage kept. CCM DTC "C41". Indicates problem with communication between ECM and CCM. Car is still running and driveable. Promblem is intermintent. USUALLY fine until it warms up. When event occurs, I get Check engine light, sevice ASR, SYS flashing and Security flashing, additionally cooling fans kick on and car idles at 1000Rpms. FSM suggests checking grounds and for an open circuit. I have removed almost the entire dash. Would a BAD ecm be intermittent?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Likely a bad ECM, had mine repaired by SIA Electronics. I had similar symptoms and they are caused by cold solder joints.

Default Fixed

IT WAS the ECM
Vette is back to normal.

My speedo would just cut out, along with the A/C. Different service lights would appear and disappear. Intermittent rough idle and most noticeably the RPMs would not go above 3k. Acted like it had a rev limiter at times. That was a real pain to diagnose.
All the little gremlins are gone now. Thanks so much.
