Default brake bleeding, am i reading this right?

Alright, i decided to check my handy dandy shop manual for the bleeding procedures for my '86 (first year to be ABS equipped). According to the manual, it says to bleed in the order of left rear, right rear, left front, right front. Is this backwards to anyone else? I always thought to bleed farthest away from the master cylinder, meaning right rear, left rear, right front, left front. I know ABS makes some things different, but the module isn't in a place that should change the order. Just checking with you guys to see the order that seems to work best.

Chris

I agree, I've always been told, RR, LR, RF then LF.

Go by what the manual says. remember, the front and rear left/right lines are 4 individual lines from the ABS pump....so that each wheel cylinder will have independant control from the ABS pump. The old farthest/nearerst logic does not apply in this case.

Hmmm, BBA that makes sense. However, I did mine RR, LR, RF, LF and no problems or am I just waiting for a disaster?

ABS cars are bled different than non-ABS. My '87 service manual shows RF, RR, LR, LF.
