Default Advice needed on EGR pipe, C4

My mate's C4 has a broken flange on the stainless steel EGR pipe (part no. 10055728). Everywhere I look tells me this part is no longer available. Could someone advise on what's best to do, please? Is there a work around on this - can it be removed etc.?
Thanks

There are three on ebay. Not price friendly. But available.

Thanks, that might help. We get clobbered twice with duty etc. as I'm in the UK.

yes, the pipe can be removed. There are EGR block off plates available on ebay for L98 for way less cost than the pipe. I fab'd up mine because I'm cheeep. Then I tuned out EGR to prevent check engine light. yw

On some years (like my 85), tuning it out isn't necessary.

I have this one from my 86 but it was connected to my Hooker headers. Don't believe it is the stock size. I had to leave it off when I installed my xt intake. You are welcome to it for the cost of shipping.

That looks like one out of an 89 c4.
because i have one on my 86,
but i had to change the exhaust manifold to the 89 manifold too to make it work.

Can you explain what is meant by it isn't necessary to tune it out? What did you do to avoid the CEL coming on?
