Just doing a search on Charles Probst's Corvette FI book and seen that it has a GM part#! (12497977) That gives me confidence that is has reliable info, but have also seen posts here about it that some info is not too accurate...
What section or topics in the book are misleading/inaccurate?
Re: Probst book on FI..what's wrong w/ it??? (DR'76)
I have it along with a number of other references on EFI and TPI; so far I haven't come across any glaring errors, though I haven't realy looked for any.

Basically a good read. Some editing problems, relatively minor overall. You may note some incorrect engine designations, text not agreeing with diagrams, etc. BUT, if you read and understand 99% of this book, you will be well informed. The late Mr. Probst worked to help people understand what was going on.

There are quite a few errors in that book, most to do with changes across years. I find it annoying. There is good information, but if you don't know anything about the generations of the FI in the Corvette, I think it is not a good book to use as a primary reasource.
Nothing against Probst, but I wish that he shared his knowledge earlier. He passed away before the final editing which was completed by his son I believe. This book needs lots of editing.
