Default Won the plastic!

Went 5 rounds last Wednesday at Sonoma Raceway to win CompRod. In the finals, I was lined up against the mean, blue Pontiac dialed at 10.15 and saw that he was fender racing his previous opponents. I dialed up a couple, dumped him at the mph stripe. He broke out by 2 hundreths, I was good by 4.

don't it feel good when you prevail...even if it's only for a piece of plastic?

It's not about the Plastic... Nice to see a slow C4 in the winners circle.

Well done.

Once met a guy who drove like that. Knew he had too much in the bank so I just kept the pedal down forcing him to break out.
Later when he shook my hand he said "how the hell can I beat a .001 at the traps"...

It is fun to sometimes "get the bear"...

After all this time being on here, I never realized you were from California and from about an hour away from where I am at.

Just curious, do you do your own tuning or use someone local?

Also congrats on the win!! I've always admired your car lol

Thanks, I have always done my own tuning. Never been on a dyno. Literally thousands of 1/4 mile runs, a number of them down Sacramento Raceway.

I raced at ORANGE COUNTY RACEWAY in California years ago at the ''ALL CORVETTE DRAGS'' sponsored by Corvettes So. Cal. Won Bracket 4 that day on a 14.03 dial in. Made 14 passes, and a few competitors broke out into the 13's.

Great Days for sure. CONGRATS on your win. I drive a 96 POLO GREEN Convert today

Thats awesome. Might have to get you to tune my 89 whenever I get it built lol

Im in Fairfield/Vacaville area. I’ve yet to go to Sacramento raceway and only been to Sonoma a couple times but never to race. Once day for sure tho! Hopefully I can build and tune my 396 and make it streetable but also run in the 10’s or low 11’s
