Hey guys.. I bought the new bulbs tonight to upgrade the 880's to the 885's.. All i need to know now is which fuse to replace with the 15? I looked through the shop manual, and i guess im missing it. I went ahead and tried replacing the 10amp tail fuse with a 15amp. After driving the car around a few minutes i could smell something burning? Im almost positive this is the fuse to replace, if it isnt i need to know asap.. i wont be using the fogs until i have this fixed. For all i know this could just be me, and there really is no smell.. Oh well.. Any input would be great.. Thanks guys!!
I have the higher watt fog lights in my rig and I think the only way I figured out which fuse to replace is by turning the lights on and physically touching each fuse untill I found one that was VERY hot. I think it was the tail one but I'm not positive now. I had heard a long time ago that you should replace the 10amp with a 20amp fuse. I did this same thing on the previous vette I owned and never had any smells from it. I think you should switch that 15amp with a 20amp. Maybe that will kill the smell.
You may want to try the Max Super White Xenon bulbs. I put the 885s in, and while they are brighter, they are not white compared to my APC H4s. I haven't upgraded yet, I have bought the Max bulbs for my Mustang GT that already have the APC Xenon bulbs in it already.

/QUOTE] I will look into both of these.. The 885's that i bought are the normal sylvania fog lamp bulb. Here in florida, we tend to get a lot of early morning fog, so im sticking with a bulb that is good for that. The ones i just put in a bright, and lights up the road so well, i just smell something.. maybe its just me. I want to try and leave the lights on for a bit and see if i can find where the smell is coming from. I did check the fuse box it self, and i cant smell it there, its mainly when im in the drivers seat..
